Two words: Relationships are important.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Brooklyn Nets signed Goran Dragic because of coach Steve Nash and his friendship with the veteran point guard.

He will likely be playing for the veteran's minimum, though no financial terms of the deal were made available. The contract will be for the rest of the season according to Adrian. He was traded to San Antonio at the deadline and reached a buyout with the Spurs.

The 35-year-old played only five games for the Raptors prior to the trade, spending most of the season away from the team for personal reasons.

The Nets have updated their rotation.

The following are the names of the following players: pf: Ben Simmons, pf: Kevin Durant, pf:Seth Curry, pf: Kyrie Irving.

The bench includes Patty Mills, Goran Dragic, LaMarcus Aldridge, Bruce Brown, Kessler Edwards, and David Duke Jr.

Irving is not eligible for most road games due to his refusal to have the vaccine.

urant is injured. There is no timetable for his return.

Simmons has not played this season due to mental health concerns. His timetable for a return is not clear.

Harris is injured. It is possible that he misses the rest of the season.

The Nets made a corresponding move to fit Dragic on their roster by waiving Jevon Carter. He is due $3.9 million guaranteed next season, which will increase the Nets tax bill.

If New York City loosens its vaccine mandates, the significance of Dragic's role will likely be in question. The rule that allows unvaccinated out-of-town athletes to play in games but bars unvaccinated athletes from teams that play in the city is unfair, according to Mayor Eric Adams. Bill de Blasio implemented the rule.

Irving insists that nothing will change his mind. Irving may have to miss playoff games due to his vaccination status.

Dragic is likely to start in Irving&s place for home games moving forward.

The Nets rotation is in a state of change until they can get everyone on the court together. Irving is missing half the team's games due to his vaccination status, while Simmons is yet to make his team debut, and Durant is out with a knee injury.

Nash will be making these decisions on the fly, trying to find rotation that will fit in with a deep playoff run. The Nets lost 12 of their last 14 games before the All-Star break.
