Dragic is going to sign with the Nets for the rest of the season, according to Bill Duffy of BDA Sports.
The San Antonio Spurs bought out Dragic's contract after he was traded to them at the trade deadline.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Chicago Bulls were all interested in the veteran guard.
Dragic has a penchant for immediately taking on leadership roles with teams. He worked out away from the team until a trade could be found, after he played five games for the Raptors. In his 15th NBA season, Dragic still has recent playoff success. He started 16 games for the Miami Heat in the playoffs and averaged 19 points, but he missed the NBA Finals due to a foot injury.
Sources said that the Nets are clearing a roster spot for Dragic by waiving guard Jevon Carter.
