Mexican federal forces arrested an accused member of the Sinaloa drug gang in the middle of a church during abaptism ceremony.

The dramatic arrest of Jose Bryan Salgueiro Zepeda on Friday evening during a baptismal Mass at a church in Culiac was filmed in a viral video.

According to the attorney general's office in the state of Chihuahua, the leader of the family-run Salgueiro crime organization is "El 90."

The video clip shows two couples standing before an altar as a priest speaks off camera during abaptism ceremony as masked agents walk up from behind them.

The other man at the ceremony is a nephew of El Chapo, according to Mexican news media. The man was not arrested.

The Chihuahua attorney general's office said in a statement that Bryan Salgueiro identified himself as a lieutenant in the Sinaloa cartel after his arrest.

After that, he was flown to Chihuahua City on a Mexican Air Force plane and taken to a prison.

The Mexican military, the National Antikidnapping Coordination and the Chihuahua attorney general's office were involved in the operation that led to the arrest of Salgueiro.

He is accused of taking part in the kidnapping of one person on May 19, 2020, the attorney general's office stated.

Jose Bryan S.Z. was only identified by the attorney general's office as Jose Bryan S.Z. News reports identified him as a man. His name is spelled Brian.

'Los Salgueiro' crime organization

The founding and leaders of the Gente Nueva are believed to be Bryan's uncles.

The southern part of the state of Chihuahua is reputed to have opium and marijuana production.

The family-run drug organization is headed by three brothers.

  • The man is known as "El Che" and "Tio", he is 55 years old.

  • Heriberto salgueiro venez, age 51, is also known as El 7, Beto, and Victor.

  • The 43-year-old man is known as Batman, El 37, and Ruspe.

The brothers are wanted by the U.S. government for information leading to their arrest.

The men are brothers of Noel, who is accused of being the top man in the Chihuahua region of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The organization was taken over by Jose, Ruperto and Heriberto Salgueiro about 10 years ago.

The SNO is an organization run by the Salgueiro brothers.

El Flaco was extradited to the U.S. from Mexico in December. He was held at the El Paso County Jail for a month before being moved to another location. His case is in federal court.
