The United States beat New Zealand in the SheBelieves Cup on Sunday afternoon thanks to three own goals from New Zealand defender Meikayla Moore.
After a pair of own goals from Moore, the U.S. was up two and Margaret Purce was able to head in a ball that bounced off Moore's head.

Moore, who was replaced by Rebekah Stott at the start of the second half, ended a brutal afternoon for the defender in her 50th cap with an own goal.
The U.S. finally got on the board in the second half when Hatch headed home a cross from Huerta.
In the second half, substitute Mallory Pugh broke in behind the New Zealand defense and slotting the ball past New Zealand's goalkeeper to make it five.
Naeher made her first appearance for the U.S. since the Olympic semifinals in August of 2021.
Naeher was one of six changes in the starting 11 compared to Thursday. The final match of the tournament will be against Iceland.
Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and Christen Press are not on the roster for the four-team round-robin tournament.
The U.S. has not allowed a goal on home soil in nearly two years since a 3-1 win over Japan in the final match of the SheBelieves Cup. The Czech Republic is in second place with three points.
