Phoenix Suns' Chris Paul receives Kobe & Gigi Bryant WNBA award for advocacy of girls' and women's basketball

Chris Paul is the first recipient of the Kobe Bryant WNBA Advocacy Award.

Significant contributions to the advancement of girls and women's basketball are what the honor is for. Paul will receive the award at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday in Cleveland.

Kobe Bryant supported the women's basketball team and his daughter played youth basketball. They died in a helicopter crash.

Chris is an ardent supporter of the game and it reflects the legacies of Kobe and Gigi. He serves as a leader and role model for other professional athletes around growing the future of the game for young girls and all fans.

Paul supports the youth girls game through camps and the CP3 Basketball Academy, as well as attending the regular season and playoffs of the WNBA.
