According to a report, former President Donald Trump's social media app, Truth Social, is expected to make its debut on Presidents Day. In a test version of the app, the outlet saw a post from the network's chief product officer indicating the app's February 21st launch.
“By the end of March, we’re going to be fully operational”
We will be released in the Apple App store on February 21. As early as December, Truth Social was open to invited guests only, with around 500 people gaining access to the network later.
In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, the CEO of Trump Media and Technology Group offered more information about the app. He said the app would hit the App Store this week.
Billy B. answered questions about the platform itself, which, so far, looks like it closely resembles its Silicon Valley rival. The lack of an edit feature at launch is what the executive said in response to a question. The executive said that Truth Social is working on a direct messaging feature, the ability to sign up to receive notifications about new content, and a user verification policy.
The New York Times reported last week that the app's release date has been pushed back until March, possibly due to the SEC investigation. Truth Social might be on track for its scheduled release date after all, although it is still unclear when and if anANDROID version of the social network will be released. The Verge reached out to the company but didn't hear back.
