A Republican House candidate called college students radicals.

Christian Collins, a Republican running for Texas' 8th Congressional district, made the remarks at an America First Rally in Texas, which was also attended by two other congresswomen.

We know how important the youth are to our future because you can raise them the right way. Collins said from the stage at the rally that you can work your butt off every day to put food on the table and then what happens?

They go off to college without knowing what they believe, and their teachers try to deconstruct everything they have taught them. They don't have any usable skills to get a job after graduating from the college that you paid for.

Collins said in previous ads that he would ban critical race theory from schools. He founded the Texas Youth Summit to train young people to promote principles of fiscal responsibility, free market, limited government, and American exceptionalism.

Taylor Green, Cawthorn, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz have endorsed Collins.

According to his website, Collins is the former campaign manager and advisor to Kevin Brady, who currently holds the TX-8 seat.

The district seat is likely to remain Republican, but there are other top candidates. The Congressional Leadership Fund is a top political action committee for Republican candidates.

Collins received a degree from The University of Texas and a master's degree from Liberty University.
