James Gunn's Peacemaker brought its story to a violent, emotionally fulfilling conclusion earlier this week. That may not have been a surprise, given the track record of the man. In addition to the Big Thing, what was surprising was how well suited he was for television, given this was his first go at it.

The director/writer admitted to Variety that he plans on doing a TV show a little while longer because he found it exciting. He talked about doing TV for at least a year after the finale of his movie. He will have different levels of input on each show, but may only write one show or just direct episodes.

Let's get to those details, shall we? You know if you know. If you don't watch the finale, you should read this.

Peacemaker and his team are walking away from the battlefield when four silhouettes show up: Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the flash. The Justice League were late to all of the weird going on in Peacemaker. Something Peacemaker berates them for. While Team Peacemaker walks away from the battlefield, they have some brief banter about the recurring gag about if Aquaman is a fucks fish.

Getting Miller on board was easy thanks to common friends. The only thing that he thought about was asking Henry Cavill or Gal Gadot if they wanted to be a part of the show. Superman and Wonder Woman are played by actors who don't speak. It might have to be said that there were reasons for the omission of Batman and Cyborg, for it was not fully certain that he could discuss. The inclusion of Matt Turner in the final edit was cut from his post.

The process of getting the League in the show was easy, and there were some challenges behind it. He wrote the League into the episode, but it was only when they shot the scene that they realized they needed to get some things straight. Even if they had to show up late because of the show's budget, he was happy that WB allowed him to use those cameos.

The cameos had a hand in them by the way. The Peacemaker crew filmed an actor for a screen test for a movie. Some of the crew went ahead and did a scene with Miller. The process of getting those heroes into the show was relatively easy, as he had already written them in the episode proper. He joked that they had to show up late because of the budget. He's grateful that the conversations went to the highest levels of WB, and that they allowed him to get away with it.
