Report: WWE Knew Bobby Lashley Wouldn't Compete at Elimination Chamber for 'Weeks'

Bobby Lashley wouldn't be able to compete at the Elimination Chamber show on Saturday, and it was known in advance.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Lashley had an injury leading up to the show.

The Ringer Wrestling Show reported Lashley had a shoulder injury during his match with Brock.

The AllMighty took several suplexes in which he appeared to land on his shoulder.

Lashley didn't work any matches in the three episodes of Raw that aired between the Elimination Chamber and the Rumble.

Despite being unable to compete in a match, Lashley traveled to Saudi Arabia and made his entrance for the main event match.

Lashley was taken out of the chamber when Austin Theory was thrown into his Pod.

Lashley has entered concussion protocol and will be evaluated when he returns to the United States.

Lashley entered the Elimination Chamber as the new champion, having defeated Lesnar for the title with the help of Roman Reigns.

It was made official after the Royal Rumble match that the main event would be between the two of them.

There was no reason for the company to keep advertising one of its top stars even though he wouldn't be able to wrestle on the show.
