Donald Trump's new social media platform is set to be released in the Apple App Store on Monday.
In October, Trump announced he was launching the platform, called Truth Social, to "stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech." It is being launched under the recently created Trump Media and Technology Group.
According to sources, around 500 people are using the Truth Social app.
On Saturday, the outlet reported that it had seen posts from the chief product officer of Truth Social that said the app would be released to the public on Monday.
The app will be available in the Apple App store on February 21.
Insider did not get a response from the company.
The app was supposed to launch on February 21st, which is also Presidents Day. As of Saturday, the listing for Truth Social in the Apple App Store still said February 21, 2022.
The launch of Truth Social will mark the return of Trump to social media after he was banned from it last year in the wake of the insurrection at the Capitol.
