ARLINGTON, Vt. A farmhouse and 50 acres have been purchased by Alec Baldwin and his family.

Faith Rhodes, principal broker and owner of Rhodes Real Estate, said that the historic farmhouse, built before 1800, and a guest cottage are just gorgeous.

Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, drew media attention when they visited last fall after a gun the actor was holding discharged, killing a cinematographer on a New Mexico movie set. Baldwin thinks it was a tragic accident. The film's director was injured.

Baldwin was sued this week by the Hutchins family, who alleged that Baldwin ignored safety complaints on the set of the movie.

Vermont has ties to the Baldwins. According to the newspaper, David Lloyd Thomas Jr. owned a home in Arlington. He died on March 2, 2020.

Representatives of Baldwin did not reply to an email on Saturday.
