Bob Saget's death prompted actress Dana Delany to get her head checked after suffering fall, black eye

Dana Delany is sharing how the death of her friend Bob Saget taught her to be more cautious when dealing with an injury.

The star showed off a black eye she got after falling down a staircase, she was a good friend of Saget.

Delany joked that she should see the other guy when she posted a picture of her bruised eye.

The actress shared how the circumstances of the death of her friend inspired her to get checked out.

The cause of death for the late comedian was released a week ago. According to a statement from the family, the autopsy report showed that the Full House star died from head trauma.

The family said in a statement that they have been overwhelmed with the incredible amount of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to them.

The statement said that no drugs or alcohol were involved, and that he accidentally hit the back of his head.

All testing and further studies have been completed, according to the Orange County Medical Examiner's office.

The medical examiner believes that the death of Mr. Saget was the result of blunt head trauma.

His injuries were most likely caused by a fall. There were no drugs or toxins found in the analysis. The manner of death is accidental. Our sympathies go out to Mr. Saget's loved ones.

He was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in January of 2022. No foul play was suspected at the time.

According to multiple media reports, the injuries to Saget's head are usually seen from a more traumatic blow than one typically sustains from a slip and fall.

According to the CDC, 166 Americans die from traumatic brain injury each day.

Dr. Fred Davis, an emergency medicine physician at Northwell Health outside New York City, recently told Fox News that it is important for people who suffer a head injury to be aware of certain signs and symptoms.

Davis said that head trauma where there is loss of consciousness can be concerning.

If a person passes out after a blow to the head, has episodes of vomiting or is not acting right, they should be taken for immediate medical attention.

Delany, who starred on Desperate Housewives, said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she was a friend of the comic for 35 years.

Bob was one of those guys that you could just call out of the blue and get right back into the swing of things.

Bob would think it was ridiculous. I feel like Bob would be happy to be getting so much attention, because he would be so happy to see the love from his friends and all over the world. That makes me happy.

The film "For Hope" was about scleroderma, a rare disease that killed Gay, Delany's sister. Delany was approached by the project. The board of the Scleroderma Research Foundation was formed after the release of the film.

I'm prejudiced, but his work on behalf of scleroderma is what's going to really resonance for years to come. I think he would feel good about that, because it was his legacy, especially for his sister and his parents.
