A Florida mother says her daughter is super traumatised after she was locked inside a daycare alone when she arrived to pick her up.

According to NBC Miami, a child was left in the dark through the front door of a locked building when their mother arrived at the center.

A video of a child in a black room is shown in a Facebook post by her best friend. The local fire department was able to open the door of the building after the mother notified Plantation police.

She is traumatised, and it is not fair, according to the outlet.

The facility is usually open for parents who pick up their children late, according to the report.

According to the outlet, the assistant director told police that she and another employee left the location eight minutes before the police arrived.

It is not clear how the child was left alone. Local authorities are investigating the incident, according to the news station.

According to Scaramelliano's post, another parent said she saw the child inside the daycare about 15 minutes before he got there.

A post on the Facebook page said that after talking to another parent who picked up about 15 minutes before my friend arrived, numerous kids were still there and my niece was seen running around yelling.
