Chris Paul said he could miss some time with a hand injury he suffered in the final game before the All-Star break.
Paul, who has a history of hand injuries and has required four hand/wrist surgeries, smashed his right hand on the arm of Houston Rockets forward Sean Tate after throwing a pass Wednesday night.
The team has not yet released the results of the MRI that was scheduled for Thursday, but Paul's hand was wrapped in a cast during a practice Saturday. When asked how long he could be out, Paul was vague.
Paul said the guys are going to hold it down if we miss some time. My hand surgeon is part of my family.
Monty Williams, the coach of Team LeBron, wouldn't say how long Paul would be out. The Suns have a history of being secretive with injuries. The team never announced that he had left wrist surgery.
Paul has not missed a game this season and is leading the league in points and assists for the Phoenix Suns.
I always want to play. Paul said he was mad for all the reasons when he felt that. I will try to heal as fast as possible. I will be playing the second time I play.
