It isn't even March yet and it is already exhausting. Bill Gates said that we should be prepared for another Pandemic when the one we are in isn't over. The risk of severe disease from Covid-19 has been dramatically reduced, but a future epidemic is a certainty, according to Gates.

In a video of the conference, Gates said that there will be another Pandemic.

The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations received $300 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The goal is to deliver vaccines to low- and middle-income countries, but Gates says it's too late to reach the World Health Organization's goal of 70 percent vaccine coverage by mid-2022. According to CNBC, 61.9 percent of people have received at least one dose of a vaccine.

Gates said in the future, we need to roll out new vaccines in six months instead of two years.

The cost of being prepared for the next Pandemic is small. Gates told CNBC that it is not like climate change.

Gates claims that the course of human history backs him up. The flu of 1918 was a disease that came and went. It may seem odd that a computer company co-founder and certified nerd is the one pushing for healthcare around the world, but Gates has always been a complicated figure. In addition to the recent public divorce with Gates that involved allegations of infidelity, Gates also has ties to convicted sex offenders and has been the subject of many conspiracy theories.

He mentioned some of the conspiracy theories in a post about his upcoming book.

In the book, I lay out the steps we can take to stop future Pandemics and provide better health care for everyone around the world, Gates wrote in the post.

It's concerning that the world's pandemic readiness is falling to a less than perfect billionaire tech founder, but hey, somebody has to do it. The current US administration doesn't seem to be in the business of preventing the next Pandemic, it can't even get everyone to take the vaccines currently available, so we guess Gates interventions are better than that.

Scientists fear that terrorists could release a new virus.
