Carnival Cruise Line cut costs by selling six ships for scrap. The Fantasy, Imagination, and Inspiration ships are being demolished at the Aliaga ship-breaking yard in Turkey. Workers cut apart and recycle the massive ships here. It is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. As more cruise ships arrive on Aliaga's shores, it's only gotten harder.

  • The moments before a passenger jumped from a Carnival Cruise ship were captured on film.

  • The clip was obtained by Fox 8 and shows a woman struggling with security.

  • After hearing that the woman had jumped off, passengers crowded on the deck.

A new video shows the moments before a passenger jumped off a ship.

The individual went missing 150 miles off the coast of Louisiana after the incident occurred on Wednesday.

In the clip obtained by Fox 8, a passenger is being held by security guards on the deck of a Carnival ship. She can be heard screaming and being ushered away by security during her struggle with authorities.

The video shows passengers rushing to the balcony after hearing that a woman jumped off the ship. She was reported to be a woman by Fox 8 and some people said she put on a life vest before jumping.

Insider made a request for comment from Carnival Cruise, which was made outside of US working hours. In a previous statement provided to Insider on Thursday, Carnival Cruise said the ship's command immediately began search-and-rescue procedures after a guest jumped off her balcony. The US Coast Guard was notified of the woman's location.

The Carnival Valor was on its way to New Orleans from Mexico when the tragedy occurred.

The passenger has not been found according to the US Coast Guard. They wrote in a post that they stopped the search after looking over 2,514 square miles for over 14 hours.

The decision to suspend a search-and-rescue case is never one that we lightly consider.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the family during this difficult time.
