A week after getting the green light to continue, Bryan Harsin has promoted two veteran assistants.

Eric Kiesau was the football program's wide receiver coach for most of the 2021 season. After Harsin fired Cornelius Williams in late September, Kiesau moved into the receiver role and spent four seasons under Harsin. The 49-year-old has experience as an offensive assistant at Kansas, Washington, and Colorado.

Harsin will have Kiesau as his third offensive coach. Austin Davis stepped down for personal reasons in January, after only six weeks on the job, and Mike Bobo was fired after the regular season.

The defensive analyst was promoted to special teams coach. Bellantoni has been a special teams coach at Utah State and Buffalo, as well as a defensive coach at Washington State and Florida Atlantic.

Harsin said that Coach Kiesau and Coach Bellantoni are excellent football coaches and teachers of the game with 44 years of Division I experience between them. They are fully aware of our goal and process.

The university inquiry into Harsin's program was completed and the coach will continue as the coach into his second season.

The secondary coach has been promoted to associate head coach. He had been courted for a defensive backs role at Georgia but decided to stay with his alma mater.
