Banning cheaters doesn't always work because they can usually make another account. Call of Duty is looking for ways to make it less fun for people to exploit their games, and the latest idea gives honest players a cheat of their own. Ricochet anti-cheat software in Call of Duty Warzone makes it possible for you to close in while the bullets bounce off of you.

The feature only works when the server catches a cheat in real-time, and there is no chance for the game.

Companies like Activision have been reacting with huge new anti-cheating initiatives, but they are also fighting cheat with legal action, suing or threatening to sue their makers into the ground.

It's a fun tactic to troll cheaters. We have seen developers of League of Legends suggest that players be condemned to battle it out in cheater hell if they fight one another.
