With Dave Chappelle on board, and with new comedy specials with his fingerprints all over, it is turning the page from Dave Chappelle's controversy. Dave and the streaming platform announced a new standup comedy series which will focus on comics from DC. February 28 is when the first of the 4 episodes will be released. Last year, Ted Sarandos refused to remove "The Closer" when the LGBTQ groups and others accused Chappelle of transphobia. All comedians were supported by the company and stood by Dave. The new specials show that the partnership has been very profitable for both parties. According to some reports, he has made over $200 million by releasing 10 standup specials on the internet. Dave will be doing the introductions in the new specials, but he won't be doing standup. The second episode of the show features one of DC's close friends, Donnell Rawlings.
