According to the Associated Press, a giant cargo ship carrying luxury cars is adrift in the Atlantic Ocean, burning after its crew evacuated.

We are aware of an incident involving a cargo ship transporting Volkswagen Group vehicles across the Atlantic. We are working with local authorities and the shipping company to find the cause of the incident.

The New York Times reported that the ship was carrying 4,000 cars that were supposed to be sold in North America. Finding a boat big enough to tug the Felicity Ace to port is not likely to happen soon.

Use Car-ket

Fox Business reported this week that used car prices are going to go up a lot in the next few years. It is hard to get a new car because of supply chain shortages that have made it hard for manufacturers to get the parts they need.

It's not good news that this fire and a loss of thousands of cars will impact customers and the car market. The AP says a Portuguese navy ship has been charged with finding out if the Ace will sink or cause pollution.

It's hard to imagine much going right in 2022.
