A former executive at Meta has left the company after he was caught on camera trying to solicit sex from a minor.

Jeren Miles, Meta's former head of global community development, can be seen in a video posted on the channel of a group called the PCI Predator Catchers Indianapolis. They say that in the two hour video, two people questioned Miles for trying to meet a boy for sex in a hotel room.

While the video doesn't contain explicit imagery, it does show Miles admitting that he had been having a very inappropriate conversation with someone he thought was a young boy.

Despite the fact that he went to a hotel room with the intention of meeting a child, Miles said in the video that there was never any intention of meeting him.

Meta says that Miles is no longer employed with the company, but it's not clear if he left voluntarily or if the company fired him.

The seriousness of the allegations cannot be overstated, according to a Meta spokesman.

Regardless of how he left, the alarming video represents yet another blow to the company's Metaverse goals, especially given the controversy the company has encountered regarding moderation on its platforms.

Experts have raised concerns about child predator in the Metaverse. There have been many instances of sexual assault in Meta Worlds.

The first Facebook heavy hitter to leave the company after a sex sting was Miles. The former head of computer vision at what was then the social giant's subsidiary, was fired after attempting to meet with an undercover officer who he believed was a 15-year-old girl.

The company's Metaverse efforts have become the core of the company.

Now, with the new controversy of one of the company's senior members caught on video attempting to solicit sex from a child, it's yet another massive hurdle for the company.
