England forward Courtney Lawes
Courtney Lawes missed England's defeat by Scotland and victory over Italy

Lawes was declared fit to play against Wales in the Six Nations.

Lawes has yet to play in the Championship because of a concussion.

He is in line to return against the Welsh on February 26th after coming through training on Friday.

Anthony Seibold, England assistant coach, said thatCourtney trained fully today, which is really good news.

He had a good preparation this week and a thorough return-to-train protocol in place.

Lawes, who has 90 caps, became one of England's key leaders in recent years, and stood in to captain the side in the autumn when regular skipper Owen Farrell was injured.

Farrell was out of the first two Six Nations matches due to a concussion he suffered in January, with Tom Curry leading the side.

The autumn series was the first time I worked with him and he took over from Owen and did a great job.

He leads by his actions and I am very impressed with what he does on both sides of the ball, but defensively he is a real leader for us.

To have him back in the group training raises our standard because we have a defensive player who is full of effort.

After being beaten by Scotland in round one, England have some reinforcements for the crucial Wales clash.

Lawes is back in the squad and is expected to start after proving his fitness, while Tuilagi and Launchbury are also in line for a return.
