Chris Lammons appeared in court in Las Vegas on Thursday after being charged with battery resulting in substantial bodily harm and conspiracy to commit battery.

The charges stem from an incident in Las Vegas in which three others have been charged, including a star New Orleans Saints running back.

Lammons was not asked to enter a plea according to his attorney. He was released on bail after turning himself in. He will be in court on March 8.

The charge of battery resulted in substantial bodily harm was brought against him. According to the police report released earlier this month, video shows him punching a man eight times before others in his group stomped on him in a Las Vegas casino over Pro Bowl weekend. He was released after posting bail.

According to the police report, the man who was knocked unconscious had an eye injury.

Lammons has appeared in 14 games for the Chiefs over the last two seasons.

He was a backup for the Miami Dolphins and played in 12 games. He had one mistake that season.
