Since Apple banned the game from the App Store in August of 2020 due to an ongoing legal battle, it has been unavailable to play on the iPhone and iPad.

It is getting close to launching, and it will allow users to play games on the iPad and iPhone. The two companies have been working on the project since November of 2020 and in January of this year, they announced a limited time alpha that will be happening before the official launch.

The only way to play on Apple devices for the foreseeable future is through a browser, and we have been able to get into the trial to see how it works. For the most part, the game runs on mobile devices, with touch controls and controller integration, so you can play with a controller if you prefer.

The game was decent for most of the time. There are still some issues that need to be worked out, but it is similar to the previous version of the game.

Not everyone will be able to play in the closed alpha of the game because it requires signing up for it at the current time. If you sign up for the waitlist, you will get an email when you are granted access.

Signing up for a free account is all you need to get in, though there are higher-quality paid accounts available starting at $50 for six months. Link your Home Screen to your account when you sign into GeForce NOW.

After those steps have been completed, there will be a game to play in the closed alpha section of the website. There is a full rundown of how it works in the video above, along with a demonstration of what it is like.

While the lawsuit is ongoing, Apple has made it clear that it has no intention of allowing Fortnite back into the App Store. Apple said that it would not consider requests for the reinstating of the developer account until the judgement of the court is final and non-appealable.

The court found that Apple was within its rights to deny the reinstating of the developer account after it found that the account was terminated due to a contract violation.
