Donald Trump and his children will have to testify in the New York Attorney General's investigation into the Trump Organization.

She announced in May that her investigation had expanded to include a criminal probe into the company's financials. Trump filed a countersuit to try to stop the investigation. James was ordered to testify in September 2020 in the probe by the judge. If there is enough evidence to bring a lawsuit against the Trump Organization, a court could impose penalties on the company ranging from monetary damages to revocation of the business certificate.
James revealed in a court filing that Mazars USA had dropped him as a client and that financial statements prepared for the ex-president between 2011 and 2020 should no longer be relied upon.
