An unproblematic cat queen died today after being diagnosed with FIV.
PotRoastsMom, a staple account of any good TikTok account, announced early Thursday morning that her cat had passed away.
She wrote in text on top of a video of her holding her cat that she felt like she was done fighting when she saw Pot Roast this morning. She went to sleep in my arms.
Pot Roast had tested positive for FIV recently, which came as a shock to Pot Roast's mom, who told her 930,000 followers on TikTok that the cat's FIV had progressed into her bone marrow. Pot Roast was living on borrowed time.
It was just her and me, and I am grateful for every moment we had together.
Just a few hours ago she posted that her cat was in the vet hospital for a blood transfusion after having a seizure due to low blood sugar. She posted a few days before that that she felt it was time for her cat to stop spending so much time on the bathroom floor with high calories wet food and potty pads.
During her sophomore year at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Pot Roast was found by her mom. She met the cat at an event where students could sit in a pen of kittens to relieve stress. She adopted her despite knowing that Pot Roast had a lot of health problems.
The internet joined in the joy of Pot Roast's presence. Everyone on social media seems to be grieving together in the aftermath of Pot Roast's death.
