Frank Lampard has been given a two-and-a-half-year deal to become the new manager of Everton and is now putting his backroom staff in place and working on new signings.

The contract was completed on Sunday.

The 43-year-old replaces the former coach, who left the club earlier this month after one win in 13 games.

The final round of interviews took place on Friday and the job was offered to him.

The interviews included Duncan Ferguson.

An announcement is expected on Monday.

The transfer window closes on Monday, but more activity may follow before then after it was agreed that Manchester United's Donny van de Beek would be on loan at Goodison Park until the end of the season.

Paul Clement, who worked with Carlo Ancelotti at Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid, is in the running to become the new coach at Goodison Park.

The FA Cup fourth-round tie at home to Brentford on Saturday will be the first game in charge of FrankLampard since he was sacked as manager of Chelsea a year ago.
