Some Tesla customers who paid $100 to reserve a Cybertruck 2 years ago say they're frustrated with customer service but still prepared to wait

Musk unveiled the first electric pickup truck for the company in November.

Three days after the reveal, the CEO said that there had been 200,000 orders for the Cybertruck.

The early-bird customers who reserved a Cybertruck for $100 in the middle of the year are still waiting to get their hands on the vehicle.

Five people who paid $100 for a Cybertruck order told Insider that they are frustrated because they haven't received any updates from the customer service team.

Some people said it was worth the wait. Email confirmations of their Cybertruck order payments were sent to Insiders.

On the day of the Cybertruck's unveil, Wayne Matus made his reservation, according to Insider. He wasamazed that he hadn't received an email or phone call from a representative of the company.

Matus said that he was frustrated that he had not been contacted by the company.

David Deschene told Insider that he had been waiting nearly two years for his Cybertruck.

He could have traded his petrol truck in for other trucks that were released before Cybertruck, such as Ford, because he was disappointed with the release date changes.

He was prepared to wait until the truck was ready.

The futuristic style is intriguing enough to take my time.

Some customers thought the wait times were long.

Benjamin Cost decided to request a refund in west Texas after waiting more than 18 months for Cybertruck and hearing nothing from the company.

The production of the futuristic pickup truck, made of heavy-duty STAINLESS steel and armored glass, was supposed to start in 2021.

Musk said in the fourth-quarter earnings that the company has delayed production to next year. A person with knowledge of the matter said on January 14 that the pushback was due to the changes that were being made to the Cybertruck.

The Cybertruck reservation was paid for in January 2020. He showed the Insider documentation. The Cybertruck was expected to be delivered in early or late 2022.

He felt it was worth waiting for if the electric pickup truck lived up to the hype.

I think it is worth the wait if it is used to develop a superior truck.

Musk said in December that the Cybertruck will come with four motors and be able to drive like a crab.

The single-, dual-, and tri- motor versions of the Cybertruck will cost $39,990, $49,990, and $69,990, respectively, but the price for the four- motor variant is unknown.

Mark Mamedly, who placed his reservation back in December, told Insider that he has not been contacted by customer service for updates on the Cybertruck. He thinks he can wait a little longer.

Some of Musk's companies keep customers waiting for months without customer service. Some customers have been waiting almost a year for the internet network because of Starlink.
