Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden will be out of the game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday with a hand injury.

Nets head coach Steve Nash talked about the injury before.

Steve Nash said James Harden had been feeling some discomfort in his hand for a while but thought it was fine. The hand flared up this morning and scans revealed he suffered a hand strain.

He’s a game-time decision.

Harden, a nine-time All-Star and three-time scoring champion, has averaged 23.0 points, 10.1 assists and 8.1 rebound per game for the Nets, which are fifth in the Eastern Conference. He is in his second season with Brooklyn and 13th in the NBA.

He has played at least 42 games this season.

Harden did not play for the Nets in their win over the Pistons. He missed three more games after entering the NBA's health-and-safety protocols.

He was in the lineup for eight more games before he went down with a left knee injury.

He sat out the Nets game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday with a left leg injury.

With Kevin Durant still out, expect Kyrie Irving to assume more usage for the Nets.

The Nets have a number of guards who can get more playing time.

The Nets faced a tough task on the road against the Warriors, but stealing a win in San Francisco was even more difficult without Harden.
