Since the days of the first PS1, Gran Turismo has been one of Sony's biggest franchises. The core of what Gran Turismo is all about has received a lot of praise over the years.
It is hard to believe that the PS4 has gone by without a full Gran Turismo game. The PS3 and PS4 have at least one copy of GT Sport, but it is not quite the same as a full sequel.
We seem to be getting what we want on the PS5. Everything we know about Gran Turismo 7 is here.
Coming to PS5 and PS4.
The next big leap in the racing franchise will be Gran Turismo 7. It will be a blast when it launches, with fan-favorite circuits returning along with new ones and hundreds of cars to choose from.
The first PS5 games event had no release date, leading some to believe that Gran Turismo 7 could be launched in 2021. The developers needed more time than that. Many games have been delayed. The PS5 and PS4 will be released on March 4, 2022.

Gran Turismo 7 is aiming to hit 60FPS with 4K resolution and HDR support. The PS4 will still run the game at 60 frames per second, and still deliver fantastic resolution.
GT Sport hit a native 1800p with upscaling to 4K on the PS4 Pro, and it certainly hit the mark. Racing titles do not suffer as much as a first-person shooter, but it will need to be consistent.

There is nothing concrete to say about which games will hit the PS5 because there has been little news on support for the device. If there is a future for Sony's virtual reality platform, you would assume that Gran Turismo 7 is part of the plans.
The GT Sport implementation of virtual reality is excellent. Hopefully, it gets expanded with Gran Turismo 7.

Fans immediately picked up on the fact that Trial Mountain is back in the initial trailer. The fictional circuit is back for the next full sequel despite not making the cut for GT Sport.
It seems as though it won't be remembered as much. Fans of the series will be happy to see the mountain return.
One of the fastest speedways on the planet, Daytona, is one of the circuits that Trial Mountain is joined by. GT Sport content will be present in the new title, so we know many of the tracks that we will be able to play at launch.

GT Sport launched with a more focused catalog of under 200, while Gran Turismo 6 had over 1,000 cars in its garage. Since the new release will be a full sequel, you would expect a total on the higher side, especially since all GT Sport cars will be present.
The full list is still some way off, but the first trailer shows off some of the power we will be able to tame. The Mazda RX-Vision GT3 from GT Sport will be returning along with other cars.
We can see that the detail in the cars in the games is correct. The PS5 should have a piece of this.

The first trailer has a few things that are noticeable. The in-race interface looks the same as it does in GT Sport. It does a good job at presenting the important information and doesn't need any big changes.
For fans of the series, fully tuning and customizing cars is back on the table. The parts shop has a wide range of parts to make your ride go faster.
There is an in-game currency system that pays for these parts, and one of the questions remaining is whether there will be any microtransactions to help you get more.

Yes. It was originally revealed during a PS5 games showcase and many believed it would be exclusive to the PS5 but it will be available on the PS4 as well.
It makes sense to develop a title for both PS4 and PS5 and for the next God of War, Hermen said. If they want to play the PS5 version, that game will be there for them.
It is not clear what concessions the game will have to make for its PS4 version, but it will likely feature a lower native resolution.

Going into Gran Turismo 7 is not likely to be slowed down by the growth of Gran Turismo esports. The most recent development is that Getty Images will be providing official imagery from professional GT Sport and Gran Turismo 7 events.

This is a big step forward for virtual racing as it draws closer to the standards of its real-world counterpart.
There is a page on the official website of Sony that indicates that Gran Turismo 7 may get a preview sometime in the future. The people were able to get the keys to the game by watching the demo on the website. Unfortunately, these keys can't be used for anything at the moment.
