Andrew Jones had a new perspective on life after he was diagnosed with leukemia. It was 4:58

Andrew Jones, a basketball player at Texas who was treated for leukemia earlier in his college career, will donate a portion of his NIL money to cancer research.

Jones will donate 10% of his name, image and likeness to The V Foundation, which was created in the honor of former NC State coach Jim Valvano.

Jones was diagnosed with leukemia. He was the leading scorer for the Longhorns. Jones missed a significant portion of the two seasons while undergoing treatment.

Jones is scoring points for the Longhorns.

Jones said that the money donated to the V Foundation helped him receive proper treatment but also helped him maintain confidence in his recovery and eventual return to basketball.
