The Special Ks, as they are known, won the Australian Open men's doubles title with a win over fellow Australians.

The victory was the first by a home pair at the park since 1997.

The wild card entrants became heavy crowd favorites as they took out the seeded teams in the second and semifinals.

The trophy was given to them by Woodforde and Woodbridge.

"I don't know how we're doing this, to be perfectly honest", said Nick Kyrgios, who lost in the second round of the singles draw.

Bruno Kuzuhara of the United States won the Australian Open junior singles title with his partner in incredible circumstances.

The match lasted 3 hours, 43 minutes and ended with the Czech player having serious cramping that barely allowed him to continue serving.

Mensik had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair after falling to the court several times and finishing with a pair of double faults.

He was born in Brazil and moved to the U.S. with his parents when he was an infant.

It was an unfortunate way to win it, said the 17-year-old during the trophy presentation. We pushed each other.

The junior boys doubles title was won by Kuzuhara and Coleman Wong. They beat Alex and Adolfo in a tennis match.
