Woj: Ben Simmons Trade No Longer Being Pursued by Kings with 76ers Before Deadline

The Sacramento Kings have reportedly "ended pursuit" of a potential blockbuster deal for Philadelphia76ers point guard Ben Simmons ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline Feb. 10.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reportedFriday the Kings, who he described as "once an eager suitor" forSimmons, have turned their focus to other options.

The first notable domino to fall wasRajon Rondo, who was dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers from the LosAngeles Lakers after Ricky Rubio's season-ending knee injury.

In the rumor mill, the Simmons saga inPhiladelphia continues to dominate the headlines as the 76ers starhas yet to suit up this season amid a desire for a change of scenery.Numerous other teams have been linked to Simmons, including thePortland Trail Blazers, who have had difficulty building aroundDamian Lillard. The 31-year-old guard has also been the subject ofspeculation around a possible move given the franchise's struggles.

Other names that have been linked topossible moves include the Sacramento Kings' Marvin Bagley III alongwith Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers.
