Dan Bongino lost his ability to make money from ads on the internet after he was banned from YouTube. The Bongino Report's account sent out a message on Friday suggesting that the pundit's AdSense account had been revoked. Tech Policy Press confirmed the suspension. Bongino's website had violated the company's policies. The publisher policies we have explicitly prohibit misleading and harmful content around the COVID-19 pandemic and false claims about our elections. Publishers can always appeal a decision once they have addressed any violating content. The Fox News host attempted to evade a prior suspension related to the platform's COVID-19 misinformation policy, which led to the ban on YouTube. He posted a video to his account questioning the effectiveness of masks. At that point, the video sharing site temporarily suspended the man. He was permanently banned from the platform after he tried to post the same video to another channel. Before the initial suspension, he said he would continue to post videos about his claims on masks until the company took action. The loss of AdSense revenue could hurt Bongino more than the loss of access to YouTube. The co- founder of Check My Ads, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting misinformation in the digital advertising industry, said that the Gateway Pundit, a website that spread misinformation, lost over a million dollars in revenue after their account was revoked.
