The first meeting between Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders about their vacant head-coaching position was reportedly fruitful for both sides.

According to Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson, the interview with the Raiders went on for all day on Friday and he had dinner with them in the evening.

There appears to be a lot of interest from both sides.

According to Ian Rapoport, Raiders owner Mark Davis will speak with the Broncos on Saturday and if things go well, he could hire them as soon as this weekend.

According to Wilson, the Raiders asked for an interview with McDaniels, but he wouldn't accept it unless he was offered the job.

The Raiders told him that if he was offered the position, he needed to accept.

According to Wilson, the Raiders are going to hire Ziegler as their general manager. He has been with the New England Patriots for nine seasons and has been the director of player personnel in 2021.

He is in his second stint as the offensive coordinator. He returned to the organization in 2012 after one season as an offensive coach for the St. Louis Rams.

In his second season as head coach in Denver, he was fired 12 games into the season after going 11-17.

The Indianapolis Colts announced in February of next year that they were going to hire a new head coach, but Josh McDaniels backed out of the deal to stay with the New England.

The New England offense finished in the top 10 in both passing and rushing DVOA. The Bills defeated the Pats in the Wild Card game.

The interim head coach for the Raiders was Rich Bisaccia. He led the team to a.500 record and a playoff spot, but they lost in the playoffs.
