Chris Brown is being sued by a woman who claims he drugged and raped her on a yacht in 2020.
The woman, who is referred to as Jane Doe, says she was invited to a yacht by her friend for a party in Florida on December 30, 2020. According to the lawsuit, Brown gave her a drink and talked about her music career when she got there.
According to the lawsuit, Brown felt a sudden, unexplained change in consciousness after filling her cup a second time. Brown allegedly led her to a bedroom, where he kissed her, after she fell out of sleep. He jumped up and said he was done after he ejaculated inside of her.
The next day, according to the lawsuit, Brown sent a text to the person she was with, saying that he was fading and that she had to take a Plan B. During one of the times she saw Brown after the alleged rape, she said she wouldn't go with him to his bedroom. Brown became irate and called a woman a slut, according to the suit. Since the alleged rape, the woman has experienced severe emotional distress, including mood swings, panic attacks, and self-injury.
The person described as a choreographer, dancer, model, and musical artist is seeking $20 million in damages.
Her attorney said in a statement that they intend to hold all parties accountable so that they can eradicate this behavior from our society.
On Friday, Brown posted a story, writing, "I hope y'all see this pattern of (CAP) whenever I release music or projects." Brown's lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.
In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault for hitting the singer. Brown was arrested in Washington, DC, for punching a man. He was in jail for 36 hours.
