Neil Young isn't done complaining about the platform. Today, the rock legend has published another letter on his website, saying that he felt better after pulling his music catalog from Spotify.

Young, a long time advocate of hi-fi sound, heavily criticizes the audio quality of the service. Young has also touched on this.

Young's catalog has been advertised by competing services like Apple Music. Apple went so far as to call itself the home of Neil Young, though it seems Young is also rooting for the smaller Qobuz, which has pushed hi-fi sound since its launch. Young ignores Tidal since it led the streaming wave before Apple and Amazon joined in.

The door is still open for Young to continue his criticism of the audio quality of the service. The company initially said that Hifi would be available by the end of 2021, but that deadline came and went, and now they don't give a new time frame for when it might be available.

In his note, Young mentions that he met Ek back in the service's early days. I wonder what happened, Young says he is happy and proud about the decision he made, which he says is meant to show solidarity with health care workers and others working to save lives.
