Musk has been vocal about the dangers of his travel schedule being made public, particularly for his family's safety.

Earlier this month, one user on the social networking site announced that he would no longer be posting Musk's travel schedules and plans in order to keep him and his family safe.

According to a new report, Musk has been trying to take down accounts that track his travel plans for quite some time now.

Musk called out the security issue with accounts posting his travel dates.

The 19-year-old Jack Sweeney runs the account that Musk messaged him about.

The account has more than 93,000 followers and tracks Musk's private jet activity with a bot.

Sweeney says that Musk asked if he could take this down. The account is a security risk. He replied that he could but it would cost him a Model 3 only if he was joking.

Musk said he doesn't love the idea of being shot by a nutcase, in typical Musk fashion.

Sweeney was offered $5,000 to take down the account completely.

The creation of McDonald's meme coin by Musk has hit $6 million in market capitalization.

There were other ideas that Sweeney had in mind.

Any chance to raise that to $50k? He told the billionaire that it would be great support in college and that he might be able to get a Model 3.

On Wednesday, Sweeney told Musk that he would prefer an internship with the company over cash payouts.

A day ago, the account posted a picture of Musk's jet landing.

The account was quick to clarify that the plane was not tracked who was on it.

It must make his exchanges with Musk feel like a dream because of Sweeney's personal account.

The company was down by 1.01% as of Thursday afternoon.
