Every laptop has at least one port to send video out to an external display. Our top recommendation for a monitor to use with a Chromebooks is the incredible LG 24UD58, but we have also rounded up other great options with lower resolutions and price points that will match perfectly with one of the best Chromebooks.

The LG 24UD58 may not be as pretty as other options, but it has gone out of its way to give users a great experience. This monitor has a 4K resolution, which is great for people who want to get work done and play a game. If you use your monitor with another machine, there are multiple preset modes so you can game in the best conditions.
With Screen Split 2.0 and on-screen controls, the 24UD58 is a great companion. The on-screen controls give you a lot of different settings to adjust and personalize, so you get the best experience possible regardless of what you are doing.
You will be stuck using either HDMI or DisplayPort as the 24UD58 does not have a compatible option. When the competition is getting smaller, the size of the screen is larger than we would expect from a desktop monitor. If you need to change the height of the 24UD58, you will need to find a monitor stand of your own.

The Sceptre E248W-19203R is a monitor with a Full HDIPS display, adaptive-sync technology, and up to a 75Hz refresh rate with 5ms response time. There is a near-bezel-less design on the 24 inch model, but it is only available on the slim and frameless model.
Sceptre has a sleek design and built-in speakers so you can still play music while you work. With adaptive sync, you will be able to bridge the gap between your built-in graphics card and the 75Hz refresh rate to reduce stuttering or image tearing.
If you want to save space in your home office, you can mount the stand to the wall on the VESA mount standard. This is a lot of monitor at this price, but if that suits your needs, there is a lack of connectivity options.
If you don't care about 4K, this is a great option.

The built-inusb-c port provides power for laptops up to 90W. It makes it easy to switch between different computers and Chromebooks because of the plug-and-play function. Dell included a number of peripherals options, including two standardUSB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, and dual DisplayPort options, so that the monitor can act as a hub.
The U2520DR has a 3.5mm jack, but we would have liked to see built-in speakers. It will still be more than adequate for just about everything else, even though it will be disappointed with the limited refresh rate.

You can buy the cheaper SE2722HX if you prefer a larger model. The SE2722HX has an extra workspace and is slightly brighter than the smaller one.
This monitor has a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio, giving you a picture that you should be used to. Its response time is as low as 5ms, meaning you will have no mouse lag. Like most Dell monitors, it has anIPS panel that makes it viewable from all sides up to 178 degrees. If you don't have an HDMI port, you'll need ausb orusb-c adapter to connect to it.
The display is limited to 1920x1080 at 60Hz, which is not the most beautiful or fast-refreshing display you can buy, but most Chromebook users aren't interested in spending extra on upgrades they don't need. This is a practical and affordable display, with a compact stand and slim bezels, that will fit on your desk.

You can connect another computer to the SJ55W or be more productive with thePIP screen thanks to the Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes. A glossy finish is fine for some, but problematic if there is a glare source. You won't worry about glare wiping out part of your monitor if you have a matt finish.
You're limited in using this with DisplayPort because of the added support for FreeSync and the faster refresh rate. If you want to take advantage of the faster refresh rate, you have to use a DisplayPort cable. It is important to note that getting used to the extra screen real-estate takes some getting used to.

With the curve, you will be more immersed in what you are doing. Sceptre has a mode to help reduce eye fatigue. You can mount this wherever you want with the C305W compatible with 100x 100mm VESA mounts.
The included stand is not the most stable option when it comes to VESA mounts. The stand is one reason for this, as you are limited in making tilt adjustments. It was great to see a monitor with built-in speakers, but you might want to use the speakers built into your Chromebook instead.
