Apple to finally let EU residents add COVID-19 certificates to Wallet app

Digital COVID-19 certificates are required for air travel in the European Union, as well as at border crossings, and often at events, restaurants, and sports venues. The EU COVID-19 certificate isn't supported by the Apple Wallet app, which holds digital versions of credit cards, boarding passes, and various tickets.

Soon, this will change. EU citizens will be able to add a COVID-19 certificate to their wallet with the latest version of the app.

The process of adding a certificate will be easy. To add the certificate to your wallet and health apps, point your camera at the certificate and tap the yellow notification.

The feature is not fully live in the latest version of the operating system. He said he was able to add his Italian vaccination record to the Health app, but it wasn't in the wallet yet. The record will show under immunization records in the Health app.
