Apple’s latest iPadOS and macOS betas finally add Universal Control

Apple first introduced Universal Control at WWDC 2021 in June.

Universal Control, which has been a long-awaited feature for iPadOS and macOS Monterey, has been included in Apple's newest developer builds. Universal Control is an impressive looking feature that lets you use a Mac's keyboard and mouse with an iPad just by placing the iPad next to the computer. Universal Control was supposed to come out in the fall, but it didn't come out until Thursday, and is now supposed to come out in the spring.

If the iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 are installed, Universal Control will be enabled by default, according to a report by MacRumors.

Apple is marking these settings with a beta tag.

When iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 will be available to the public was not immediately answered by Apple. The company also released the first version of the app on Thursday, which adds new features and lets you use Face ID while wearing a mask.
