With the Chicago Bears reportedly set to hire Indianapolis Colts defensive coach Matt Eberflus as their new head coach, the big question is who will be the team's offensive coach.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Kevin Patullo is a name to watch because he is the Philadelphia Eagles passing game coach.

Eberflus worked on the Indianapolis Colts staff with Patullo. While Eberflus was the defensive coach, Patullo was a receivers coach for two years.

The 40-year-old was hired by Philadelphia in 2021.

The Eagles were efficient through the air despite finishing 25th in the league in passing yards. The team finished 13th in yards per attempt and quarterback Jalen Hurts produced a 48.6 Total QBR that was close to league average.

The work with a mobile quarterback like Hurts could be useful when working with Fields. The No. 11 pick in the draft finished dead last in QBR among qualified players (26.5) while totaling seven touchdown with 10 interceptions in 12 appearances for the Bears as a rookies.

After the team finished 27th in the NFL in scoring, Chicago needs an offensive coach who can get the most out of Fields.

The Bears finished outside the top 20 in points scored in each of the last three years under Matt Nagy.

There will be a lot of pressure on the next offensive coordinators to get points on the board with exciting players under contract.
