The graphics card manufacturer announced today that the app for the TVs has exited the testing stage. In November of last year, the cloud gaming service was released for selectLG televisions and allows you to stream games from the server of your choice.

You can download the app from the Content Store if you have a compatible TV. To celebrate the launch, Nvidia is giving six months of the Priority tier free with the purchase of a qualified TV between February 1st and March 27th.

It has previously been possible to access the service on the Shield, but being able to access it directly from a TV is a more streamlined solution. If you don't own a set-top box and don't fancy plugging another device into your TV, it's the cheaper option.

New resolution upscaling options are being rolled out to GeForce Now, as well as the official launch of the LG TV app. When your network bandwidth is less than your display resolution, these are designed to make up the difference. There are three upscaling modes, which are on by default. Content can be downscaled when your display resolution is lower than your streaming resolution.

There are a number of new games coming to the streaming service this week.
