Fans of bright highlights and inky blacks will be happy to know that they can now get support for them on the service. The support pages for the streaming giant were spotted by 9to5Google and appear to have been updated after January 14th. The phones were listed as supporting HD in the update.
The update should make it easier for owners of the latest phones from the company to watch high definition content on the internet. Although the streaming service often lists new devices as compatible on the day of their release, there are occasionally times when it doesn't list support until much later.
It's not clear why the Pixel 6 doesn't have HD support on it's lineup, but soon after the phone's release users reported that their phones didn't appear to be able. The problem doesn't seem to have been universal, with other users reporting that they've been able to watch HDR content on their devices from the beginning. The feature should now work for everyone.
The series is being produced by The Verge.
