The company announced on Wednesday that a new profile banner will display a user's upcoming livestreams. In a video published to his social media profiles, Adam Mosseri said that users can now display a Badge on their profile to let others know that they have a livestream coming up. Once the banner is up, followers can subscribe to get reminders.

Users can create as many lives as they want. If there are more than one upcoming Live, they will be displayed as a side- scrolling list. Mosseri said that in the past users would inform their followers through a post or story. The new feature will allow users to notify others about scheduled Lives. The badges will be visible to your followers, but also to anyone who may come across your profile, which could attract more viewers.

🎉 New Features 🎉

Some fun ones this week: – Live in Profiles

– Remix Video

Let me know what features you would like to see.

Adam Mosseri wrote on January 26, 2022.

The Live feature is a key part of the app, especially for creators on the platform who use the tool as a way to directly engage with their followers. The feature has been adjusted to take on competitors. The ability to broadcast with up to four creators is one of the new features added to Lives. The new profile banners for scheduled Lives could help creators get more exposure and reach more users on the app.

In the same video, Mosseri said that users can now modify any video content on the app, which is a change that was announced a few days ago. The company launched its version of TikTok Duets in March of 2021. Users can record their Reels video with a video from another user. You could only modify short-form Reels. You can change any public video on the app. This only applies to videos published publicly from this point forward, as the feature won't work on older content.

In the United States, an early test of creator subscriptions has been launched. Select creators can now give their followers paid access to exclusive videos and stories. The creators can choose the price point for their exclusive content. The paid subscribers will be marked with a special badges, differentiating them from the other users. TikTok has also confirmed that it is testing support for paid subscriptions.
