The Brooklyn Nets aren't looking to move James Harden before the NBA trade deadline.
The Nets aren't going to engage any team who calls them about trade talks on James Harden, according to a report.
Brooklyn's reticence to entertain any offers is due in part to the fact that Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have all said privately that they believe they're unstoppable when they share the court together. There is no need to make a big change.
Harden is having a slightly down year compared to his usual standards. His field- goal percentage is on pace to be the second-lowest of his career, as he is averaging 23.0 points, 10.1 assists and 8.0 rebound.
The Nets would have a lot of interest in the 32-year-old, who is one of the greatest scorers of his generation.
It is difficult to imagine how Harden would end up playing elsewhere.
The Brooklyn Nets are only one game behind the first place Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference. The record is not affected by the fact that Harden, Durant and Irving have not spent a lot of time together. The Nets played 32 minutes over two games and had a 21.4 net rating.
Sean Marks can not part with Harden right now because of the team's current situation.
Irving is still a part-time player because of his vaccine status, while Durant is out with a knee injury. There aren't many other players in the Association who can pull off the kind of one-man show Harden is capable of.
There is no reason for the Nets to part ways with the nine-time All-Star when they are still a title contender.
This could be another story.
Harden has recently informed several people of his interest in exploring other opportunities outside of Brooklyn this summer.
The front office probably won't have to address the clock problem until the end of the season.
