Many users are unable to connect to the communications app due to a widespread outage. The official Discord account says that they are currently investigating a widespread outage and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

The gaming community uses Discord and it has 150 million monthly active users. Most users seem to be affected by this latest outage, with widespread reports of issues connecting to the service. Some users of the service may be able to use text chat or participate in calls.

The company says in a message that it is in the Discord client.

We have identified the underlying issue with the API outage, but are dealing with a secondary issue on one of our database clusters. We have our entire on-call response team online and responding to the issue.

Users who are currently logging in should be able to use the service right now.

Problems with the communications app caused a brief outage in November. On the status page of the service, it is clear that the service has been taken offline for most users.

A new app discovery feature will be released in the spring, and it has been building its own app platform based on bots for the past few years. More than 30 percent of the Discord server uses bots, which is an important part of the experience.
