Alfredo Morelos: Rangers striker 'very happy' and targeting Champions League

Morelos wants to help the club reach the playoffs next season and is very happy at Rangers.

Rangers are four points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, and the winner will get a direct entry into the group stages of the European club competition.

Morelos has been linked with a number of moves away from the club in the past, with former manager Steven Gerrard unsure if he would stay at the club.

The Rangers player who joined from HJK Helsinki insists that he and his family are settled in Glasgow and that he is targeting more success with the team.

He exclusively told Sky Sports that he was very happy at Rangers.

I was named Player of the Month in December and have been scoring goals. God will decide what happens in the future if I score more goals.

I will keep working hard and fighting. I hope to stay in the squad, we will see how it goes. I hope it goes well. I am focused on Rangers right now.

My family and I are very happy in Glasgow. My daughter is very happy here. The fans and Rangers welcomed me when I joined, so I'm really happy here.

Playing in the European Championship is a source of motivation for me. We are going to fight for that.

My teammates and I are all very positive and that goes for the coaching staff as well. We have a lead, but we need to perform on the pitch.

We play for all three points, which is important, so we want to keep picking up points and stay top of the table to achieve our goal of winning the league and getting into the playoffs.

He said that the coach gave him a chance and that he responded in the best possible way.

I feel very happy. I have been working hard to be in the starting line-up. Since he took over at Rangers, he has transmitted his confidence to me and I have scored a lot of goals.

The coach knows what the Rangers are all about. The club means a lot to our fans.

He knows that since he played here, we always have to win and play well to keep the fans happy.

There is always more to come. I feel like there is always more. I want to keep scoring goals, playing well for Rangers, and doing my bit for the team, which is the most important thing for me, as we go after the targets that we set ourselves.

The most important thing is to take it game by game, as that is the path to trophies.

The 25-year-old says he has been working to change his game after being criticized for his ill-discipline in the past.

He said that he had been working on his temperament on the pitch.

There were seasons when I was shown red cards, but I have improved in that area.

I'm focused on improving that every day and doing well, so that I can focus on scoring goals, which I've managed to do. We have been getting good results, which is important to me.

Morelos has scored a total of 107 goals for Rangers and he says he is proud of the connection he has with the fans.

He said that his relationship with the fans was great. I think their support is important for me. They love me and get behind me.

I have shown them what I think of them with goals and good football, playing well and keeping the team top of the table. I think they are very happy.

We have some important games coming up and we will try to win them and get points on the board to keep the fans happy.
