The site of the helicopter crash that killed the Bryants and seven other people in California has a statue of them.

On the second anniversary of the fatal crash, the artwork went up, according to Richard Winton of the Los Angeles Times.
Dan Medina, who created the piece, told Winton he only envisions the memorial remaining there temporarily.
He said that it is kind of emotional when you come up here.
Eight people, including Kobe and Gianna Bryant and six others, were killed in a helicopter crash while traveling to Mamba Sports Academy.
