Two years to the day of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and seven others, a statue of him and his daughter was placed on the site.
The statue was created by Dan Medina and showed Kobe in his Lakers uniform and with his arm around Gianna, who is also wearing a uniform while holding a basketball by her side. Two people are looking at each other.

The 160-pound bronze statue was brought to a hilltop in Calabasas at 4 a.m. on Wednesday and will remain there temporarily.
The names of the Bryants and seven other people who died in a helicopter crash are engraved on the statue.
The helicopter carrying all eight passengers was on its way to a girls basketball tournament that Gianna was due to play in. Federal safety officials have blamed pilot error for the crash that happened in the hills west of Los Angeles.
